Sponsorship

The Association has a Community Fund which can be accessed by local voluntary groups or clubs. Each year we set aside a part of our budget for this purpose. In the past we have helped boys and girls football teams, netball tournaments, scout groups and pensioners clubs. There are no strict criteria as to who can apply for a grant as long as you are a local group helping people in the community. If you feel that you would qualify for such a grant all you need to do is write to the chair of the association setting out the details of your organisation and how the grant will be spent. Each application is judged on its own merits by the management committee. Awards in the past have ranged from £50 to £500.

During 2007/08 we sponsored the following groups;

• Rutherglen Scouts

• Pensioners Bus Run

• Kids Pantomime

• Rutherglen High School Special Olympics Fund

• Circuit Youth Group
